Like everyone else in Australia, and particularly in Victoria, Sharryn & I watched in speechless horror as the bushfire tragedy unfolded over the last few days. Both of us know the affected areas and know people who live in and around there, and Sharryn's brother works for the SES and spent time dealing directly with some of the victims, so it's one of those things that really hits close to home. Luckily all of our own friends and family are safe. Thanks to everybody who enquired as to our wellbeing. :-)
A number of people have also asked if there's anything Kidz Brandz could do to help. Without going into detail (we both feel that advertising charity and donations is tacky), we just wanted to let those who've asked know that we spent Monday sorting and writing off some of our stock, which was subsequently delivered to the relief centre in Whittlesea on Monday afternoon. To those who have been affected - our thoughts and prayers are with you. To those who wish to contribute, we suggest you visit the Australian Red Cross website - www.redcross.org.au .
